BNIX would like to inform its customers about two major upcoming changes to our invoicing process.

New BIC code as of 15 December 2025

Due to a change in the federal government’s banking partner, BNP Paribas Fortis will take over the management of federal public accounts from 15 December 2025.
Belnet’s IBAN number remains unchanged, but the BIC code will change for international payments.

Updated bank details :

  • Bank: BNP Paribas Fortis
  • BIC code: GEBABEBB

Please update your payment systems to avoid any processing delays.

Mandatory e-invoicing from 1 January 2026

From this date onwards, all VAT-liable Belgian companies must send and receive structured electronic invoices via Peppol.
Paper or PDF invoices will no longer be allowed for business-to-business transactions.

What we kindly ask from you :

  • If you do not yet receive Belnet invoices via Mercurius/Peppol, please provide us with your Peppol details.
  • Please also send us your purchase order numbers for 2026, so we can include them correctly on the corresponding invoices.
